St. Barth: Yes Way Rosé

If you find yourself bundled on the couch, depressingly trawling your own Instagram feed from last summer in East Hampton, don't let the winter blues win! Buck up, it's the perfect time for a visit to the Caribbean isles. Saint Barthélemy (St. Barth) is the longtime playground for designers, media mavens, moguls and lounge chair lizards battling Rosé withdrawals.
At just 10 square miles, the French-speaking island features 22 flawless beaches—far too many for a typical holiday. Perhaps that’s why so many return annually to soak up the happening scene at Shell Beach and enjoy sundowners at Do Brazil (make a reservation!). Also on in-the-know regulars’ itineraries: a hike to Colombier Beach’s secluded sands with a bottle of crisp white, and a swim in the serene waters of the remote Gouverneur Beach. In typical French fashion, many of the beaches are topless or even fully nude.
Unsurprisingly, dining and shopping on St. Barth is on par with the brilliance of its beaches. The original Calypso boutique is still a classic spot for a spree in the charming capital of Gustavia. It’s also home to Human Steps, which is worth a visit if well-curated designer accessories and shoes are your weakness. Also in town: the Amalfi Coast–inspired restaurant L’Isola, a favorite of vacationing chefs. Bonito is where you’ll find inventive French- and South American-inspired dishes, an extensive wine list, and clear sunset views, while Le Ti is the much-loved place to savor a juicy rib eye before joining the other beautiful people in dancing the night away.
